Segment Hiking the SHT

This part of Minnesota is special to us hikers because it holds so many hiking options: more than 12 State Park and Waysides, the Superior Hiking Trail and the North Shore Trail are just a few. The only challenge is picking one for a day hike. They all have something special to offer.

One of the things I love about being a member and ambassador for Women Who Hike in Minnesota is that I get to help create an environment for women to gain confidence in their outdoors skills and to find fellowship on the trail. The Dunes of Indiana : Part One

It's true. I'm a bit obsessed about finding new trails to hike. I try to include a hike when I travel. No matter the reason why I'm traveling. Last weekend was no exception. It was time to take my son for his first year of college in Indiana so, of course, the maps came out to find a hiking opportunity. With the addition of Indiana Dunes National Park as our 61st National Park on February 15, 2019, it seemed the perfect opportunity.
